Our Story

We aim to nurture connection and wellness, in tune with the moon's natural cycles, while embracing and fostering a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies.

Hi there, my name is Nic Bickford, founder of Rainbow Moon Collective. I am a registered yoga teacher (RYT), sound healer, and entrepreneur. I have been facilitating and guiding moon rituals for the last three years and counting, and have been on my personal spiritual journey for the past decade. I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and welcome people of all backgrounds to come enhance their personal practice and connect with like-minds regardless of sexual orientation, or religious background. It is important to me to not pressure anyone to do anything they are not comfortable with and solely aim to help others feel connected and supported during every event.

For me, it’s not just a phase. It all started in 2021 when we were coming out of Covid-19. During quarantine, I did my spiritual practice at home alone, but wanted to meet others who were interested in doing spiritual and self-care activities together. I knew I couldn’t be the only one, so my goal was to find a community of like-minds to share my practice with.

After not quite finding what I was looking for, I started hosting new and full moon rituals at my house and invited anyone I thought would come. I designed them to correspond with both the lunar cycles, as well as the annual lunar calendar to provide structure and attune to nature’s natural cycles. From there it grew from one other person into a beautiful community of friends and familiar faces with each ritual concluding in new connections, lingering hugs, and full hearts; leaving us feeling lighter and more grounded than before everyone arrived.

Fast-forward to 2024, I realized this is what I want to do with my life. I love this and I love what I do. It fills my soul being able to host and facilitate these events to hold space and provide a service of this magnitude and impact for others. From the planning and organizing, to set up and clean up afterwards, and all the special moments in between. There is no greater joy than helping people ground and let go of all that no longer serves them to make space for new pathways that will allow them to open new doors and transmute that energy into something better. With an open mind and open heart, we would love to have you at our next event. So mote it be!
